Those Cute Little Games

  Playing games on Facebook is fun and can pass time while waiting for an appointment. However, before you play, check out the company’s privacy policy to ensure they aren’t going after more than the standard data.  Texas Ho ld’em Mania is produced by Simple Game Studios. Like most vendors on Facebook, they have the standard Privacy Policy that can acquire your email, name, and user name on Facebook. The interesting part here is that Simple Game may ask if the user would like to share their age, gender, birth date, sites they currently use as well as the machine or device they are accessing the game on. The company considers this non-personal information which is completely inaccurate. Divulging that sort of information can lead to all sorts of privacy issues and security risks.  Nametests on the other hand seem sketchy almost immediately. Locating their Privacy Policy took several minutes and I ended up at a company called social sweethearts which appears to be located in Germany. Dat
